The pop singer Nelly Furtado was the big winner (and the host) when the Junos, Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys, were awarded in Toronto on Sunday, Reuters reported. Ms. Furtado, 28, took the prizes for best single, best album and fans’ choice, after winning for artist and pop album the night before. Bob Rock, the Canadian rocker-turned-producer, was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame for his work with bands including Metallica, Aerosmith and Mötley Crüe.

Nelly Furtadocompleted a clean sweep of Canada’s Juno music awards on Sunday.
The "Promiscuous" singer, 28, was five for five, winning every award – including album of the year – for which she was nominated.
"I’m just happy to be here and humbled," she said after receiving the fans’ choice award. She also took honors for best single for "Promiscuous" and, at a pre-broadcast gala dinner on Saturday, artist of the year and pop album of the year trophies.
The Victoria-bred, Toronto-based singer’s third album, Loose, has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.
"I was shocked, honestly," Furtado told reporters of her multiple wins. "I’ve sat in the crowd and lost for best album two times before and thought, ’Maybe one day I’ll get that.’ I didn’t realize it would come so soon."
Other winners at the 36th annual Junos included the Dixie Chicks, who took home the best international album award, and Toronto punk rockers Billy Talent, who won for best group and best rock album.
