Αυτή τη φορά, ίσως να ξεπεράσαμε εαυτό, πραγματοποιώντας το 5^ο εν συνεχεία “Athenaeum Cave”. Το ετήσιο mod / 60’s happening του Belle Vue. Φέτος θα έχουμε την τιμή να παρουσιάσουμε ίσως την μεγαλύτερη μπάντα που έχει περάσει ποτέ από την Ελλάδα. Την Παρασκευή 6 Νοεμβρίου στη Αθήνα και στο Gagarin 205 Club, οι μουσικοί ‘πατέρες’ όλων μας, οι Sonics από την Tacoma της Washington, το group που τάραξε τα νερά, όσο κανένα άλλο, στην μουσική βιομηχανία στα μέσα των sixties, αυτοί που ανάγκασαν τους μουσικοκριτικούς να εφεύρουν το όρο ‘industrial punk’, για μια βραδιά κατά την διάρκεια του Athenaeum Cave, στην μοναδική τους Ευρωπαϊκή εμφάνιση, live στην Αθήνα.

Σαξόφωνο και άγριες fuzz κιθάρες, δημιουργούν ένα εκπληκτικό αποτέλεσμα! Στην ιστορία της ροκ, δεν έχει εμφανιστεί ποτέ κάτι παρόμοιο, που εκτός της μοναδικότητας του, να επηρέασε τόσα πολλά συγκροτήματα, ακόμη και στις μέρες μας! Οι Cramps, οι Fuzztones, οι Nomads, οι Nirvana αλλά και πολλοί ακόμη, οφείλουν τα μέγιστα στο συγκρότημα των Sonics! Τα εξωφρενικά φωνητικά, το εκρηκτικό μπάσο, το πιο τρελό σαξόφωνο που ακούσαμε ποτέ και οι επιθετικές κιθάρες τους συγκλόνισαν τον κόσμο της μουσικής!

Πριν την εμφάνισή τους, επιλέξαμε κάποια συγκροτήματα που νομίζουμε ότι μπορούν να αποδώσουν όσο καλύτερα το Rock ’n’ Roll πνεύμα των ημερών μας στην Ελλάδα. Οι Teenheat από την Αθήνα, με βαθιά επιρροή από τους Sonics και όσους αυτοί έχουν επηρεάσει, οι Barbara Farmers από την Αιδηψό, που φέρνουν τα 60’s στο σήμερα με τον πιο αγνό και αυθεντικό τρόπο, αλλά και οι Frantic V από τη Θεσσαλονίκη, που μόνο τα χρόνια που σέρνουν πίσω τους είναι η εγγύηση για το καλύτερο ‘ζέσταμα’ πριν την έλευση των θρυλικών The Sonics επί σκηνής!

Επισημαίνουμε ότι την μουσική επιμέλεια της βραδιάς θα την επωμισθεί το DJ team του Belle Vue, όπως πάντα στις 45 στροφές!

Μετά το τέλος του show ακολουθεί party σε χώρο που θα ανακοινωθεί συντόμως.

This time, we’re really outdone ourselves, making real the 5^th edition of “The Athenaeum Cave”, the annual mod/60’s happening of Belle Vue. This year, we have the honour to present you probably the biggest band that have ever been inGreece. OnFriday 6th of November, in Athens and at Gagarin 205 Club, the music fathers of all of us, The Sonics from Tacoma-Washington, the group that rocked the boat like no one else in the music industry, at mid 60’s, those who made the music critics invent the term ‘industrial punk’, for a night time, on the line of Athenaeum Cave, at their one and only appearance in Europe, live in Athens.
Saxophone and wild fuzz guitars create an amazing outcome! In the rock history, never appeared something closed to this, that, apart from its oneness, affected so many bands, even nowadays! The Cramps, The Fuzztones, The Nomads, Nirvana and many others owe their most to the band of The Sonics! The steep vocals, the explosive bass, the craziest saxophone that you’ve ever heard and the explosive guitars that brought the music world upside down!
Before their act, we have chosen some bands that we believe they can give the celebrating tone to the night and perform the best way the rock’n’roll spirit of our days, in Greece. The Teenheat from Athens, deeply influenced by the Sonics and the bands that the Sonics have affected, The Barbara Farmers from Aidypsos, bringing the 60’s to the present in the most chaste and authentic way and, furthermore, The Frantic V from Salonica, that only their endless comprise guarantee for the best warm up, before the legendary Sonics’ coming on stage!
We note that the music assiduity of the night will be shouldered by the DJ team of Belle Vue, as always, on 45 rpm.

After the show, a party will follow, at a place that will be announced soon.
