Διαλύθηκαν οι MCLUSKY 5/2/2005

Δυστυχώς οι φίλτατοι MCLUSKY διαλύθηκαν. Και είναι κρίμα είδικά μετά από το υπέροχο περσινό τους album "the diference between you and me is that I’m not on fire" (διάβασε το review εδώκαι το english review here..). Από τις μπάντες με ηρωϊκά αυτοκαταστροφικά ξεσπάσματα, με νεύρο και λίγο punk αισθητική. Και είναι κρίμα γιατί η μουσική αυτή είναι...τώρα και μοδάτη...και αποδεκτή ακόμη και απο το mainstream ακροατήριο.

1996 - 2005

The three piece rock band known as mclusky have disbanded, as of friday january 7th, 2005.
The reason for this parting is private, though probably not as entertaining as you’d imagine.
Personally, I would like to thank all the people, places and times that occured on or near us.
I’m grateful for the love and to a lesser degree, the hate.
There’ll be more music soon, from all of us.

Jon Chapple, bespectacled bass behemoth, has decided to move on from mclusky. Singer Andy Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone will continue work on what was to become the fourth mclusky album next year. They will not employ usage of a combined double-necked bass and guitar. An as yet untitled interim release planned for May collecting together the bands singles and b-sides will now serve instead to underscore the immaculate oeuvre that is mcluskys recorded work . As for the mighty force that was a mclusky live appearance we can only lament. That is until we scrape together enough below par footage for a DVD. Wasn’t it Yazz that proclaimed ’The Only Way Is Up’.
